    Don’t you think based on the past record of Virginians over-hyping every storm to ever hit our coast, that people really just panic for the fun of it?

    I remember people tying down their boats for Andrew (?) in 1988ish(?), and then it only rained for 30 minutes.

    We’re still going camping 🙂

    Tho, to contrast — I learned firsthand that camping on Assateague Island beach DURING a tropical storm is NOT so good. 🙂

    The last line of this post made me think of that old parody of the Emergency Broadcast System radio and TV broadcasts: “Had this been an actual emergency, you would have received no information, because your radio and TV would be melting and we would be fleeing in terror.” Hee hee.
