Ok, you know what? Nobody is too big to fail. If GM can’t keep itself going in spite of all its advantages, then let it go. Let the talented engineers and dedicated assembly line workers find jobs at a decently-run automaker, and the idiot managers retire and stop screwing stuff up.

    It’s funny … “The free market will fix everything”, many conservatives say. But then those likely seem to be the same people railing to prop up all these companies that deserve to die. 🙂

    I believe in letting individuals and companies equally suffer from their own dumbass decisions. There’s really no other way to get them to make better decisions next time.

    And there’s really no incentive for them to make *good* decisions if there are no consequences. If companies get bailed out, it’s not really capitalism.

    Of course, I think pure free market is not the best way to deal with things… But inconsistent favoritism is not either. And that’s what this seems like.
