You Got to Be Kidding Me!

Total Destruction

Posted in Miscellaneous by Stacy McMahon on January 21, 2007

No, not by the “snowstorm” (yet .. it’s accumulated to around an inch as I write this) but at Clint’s 33rd birthday party last Saturday. I don’t have much to add, aside from taking ‘executive producer’ credit for Glen’s videography of the early-evening ‘RAPpening’. It is pretty funny how in our college years and 20s most parties were fight-free, but now that most of the OGs are over 30, fisticuffs have become a semi-regular feature.

    It’s not semi-regular, damnit!

That should not be the perception.

The only people who have started fights are 2 people.

#1 – has shot people to death with a gun a year prior to the fight, and was *specifically* dis-invited via email to his significant other A WEEK BEFORE my party

#2 – was someone who was not invited to the party directly, but met our circle — in an AA meeting

I don’t think this has much to do with being 30, 40, or 50.

Murderers and people in AA should not be coming to my parties. Then there wont be fights. I don’t have anything to do with the type of people who are violent for the wrong reasons.

(Violence for the right reason is okay, but usually non-applicable to any sane party situation!)

Now there is this perception that ohhh, there’s fights at all our parties….. dammit!
